Hill Brings Global HR Expertise to the Davidson Group
Steven Hill brings four decades of international expertise in human resources (HR) to the Davidson Group.

Hill’s career spans 40 years of human resources (HR) leadership supporting business start-ups, turnarounds, private equity firms and Fortune 500 companies. He held leadership roles at Viacom, Lane Bryant, Tupperware, Albertson’s and Blockbuster, Inc. His expertise supported organizations in retail, construction, engineering, technology, logistics, transportation, media and entertainment. Hill’s work took him across the globe as he implemented HR solutions across the employee life cycle spectrum.
“My approach focuses on prioritizing people resources to maximize business impact,” Hill said. “The ultimate goal is to attract, retain and motivate the right talent.”
As an extremely versatile professional, Hill is adept at anticipating and reacting to the rapidly changing needs of a growing enterprise. In addition to his mastery of all HR functions, he has experience in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, strategic planning, workforce planning, culture change, compensation, diversity and inclusion.
Hill recently he served as the human resources vice president for Charlotte-based Direct Chassis Link, Inc. There he established and led a “best practice” HR function from the start-up phase to maturity. Hill partnered with senior leadership to navigate people processes and strategy through multiple transitions, including three ownership changes and numerous acquisitions.
He brings broad HR knowledge and expertise to his role at the Davidson Group. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Hill is based in Charlotte, NC.
