Melissa Austin, MSOD, SPHR
Melissa has 25 years of Human Resources experience and has worked for Fortune 500, Private Equity and Privately Owned businesses. She uses her HR experience and knowledge to build the most suitable HR programs for her clients. The industries she has supported are manufacturing, engineering, warehousing and distribution, co-packaging, supply chain, home healthcare, property management and e-commerce. She has worked in both U.S. and global operations.
Melissa currently works with small to mid-sized companies in creating Human Resource Programs and providing Employee Relations support. During Melissa’s career, her projects include developing policies, employee handbooks and onboarding programs. She has also integrated performance management systems, created compensation & benefits programs, and formed talent development programs. She can easily set up HR processes that will vastly decrease a leader’s time spent on paperwork and reporting related to HR compliance. Melissa has successfully managed multiple acquisitions and provided project leadership for HRIS and payroll implementations. She acts as a fractional HR leader for her clients.
Melissa graduated from Queen’s University of Charlotte with a Bachelor’s in Organization Communication and a Master’s in Organizational Development. She has maintained her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification for 10 years.
